Accessibility

Bliss Estates is a retirement village website aimed at adults 50 and older. We want everyone — including people who use assistive technology — to browse comfortably, read clearly, and complete forms without strain.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and adopt several practices beyond AA (larger default text, 44px tap targets, a built-in accessibility panel). Accessibility is ongoing; we improve the site as we learn from real use.

Use the accessibility button (bottom-left on every page) to open a panel with these options. Your choices are saved on this device.

• Text size (A / A+ / A++) — enlarges all text up to 130% via the root font size. At larger sizes the desktop navigation collapses to the menu so links stay readable.
• Profiles — one-click presets (vision-impaired, seizure-safe, ADHD-friendly, cognitive/reading, keyboard/motor).
• High contrast, readable font (Atkinson Hyperlegible), highlight links, bigger cursor, strong focus outline, reading guide, and reduce motion.
• Skip link — press Tab on any page to jump to main content.
• Browser zoom — Ctrl/Cmd + plus is fully supported; layout is not locked to a fixed size.
